Surgery

Surgery: Surgery involves the removal of the tumor or cancerous cells from the body. It is often used as the first line of treatment for solid tumors that are confined to one area of the body. The goal of surgery is to remove as much of the cancer as possible while preserving surrounding healthy tissue. Surgery can be curative in some cases, but it is often combined with other treatments such as radiation therapy or chemotherapy.
